JAMB Result 2027: How to Check Your UTME Result

When JAMB releases the 2027 UTME results, candidates should use the official JAMB result-checking channels rather than relying on agents or unofficial websites. The 2027 examination is currently listed by JAMB as upcoming, so the result-checking process and any specific 2027 announcement should be confirmed when JAMB publishes them.

This guide explains the official result-checking methods currently provided by JAMB, what to do if your result is not available, and how to protect your details while checking.

Has JAMB released the 2027 UTME result?

No. The 2027 UTME is still upcoming. JAMB’s current IBASS page says the registration announcement is coming soon, so any website claiming to have an official 2027 UTME result before the examination and result release should be treated with caution.

Do not pay anyone who claims to have access to a future JAMB result or who promises to change your score.

How to check your JAMB result online

JAMB provides an online result-checking service through its official website. When results are released and the service is available for the relevant examination year, use the official JAMB result portal and follow the instructions shown there.

Go to the official JAMB website.
Open the result-checking service provided for the current UTME.
Enter the requested examination details.
Submit the information exactly as requested.
Review the result displayed by JAMB.
Save or print the result details if you need them for your admission process.

Because JAMB can change portal addresses and result services, check the current links from the official JAMB website instead of using an old result link copied from another website.

Can I check my JAMB result with SMS?

JAMB has previously provided an SMS option for candidates to receive UTME result information. The exact SMS instruction, short code and availability can depend on the examination year and JAMB’s current announcement.

For the 2027 UTME, use the SMS instruction JAMB publishes when results are released. Do not assume that an old instruction is still active.

What information do I need to check my result?

The details required depend on the result-checking method JAMB makes available. Candidates should keep their registration details safe throughout the admission process.

Do not post your registration number, profile details, password, PIN or other security information publicly on social media or send them to an unknown person who claims to be checking your result.

What does a JAMB result show?

Your result provides the UTME performance information released by JAMB for your examination. Keep the result information available because you may need it while checking admission requirements or completing an institution’s admission process.

A UTME score is not the same thing as an admission offer. You still need to meet the requirements of your chosen institution and programme and follow the applicable admission process.

What if your JAMB result is not showing?

Do not immediately assume that your result has been cancelled. Result availability can depend on the stage of JAMB’s release process and the particular candidate.

If the official portal does not display your result, first check that you entered the requested information correctly. Then check JAMB’s latest announcements for any information about delayed results, withheld results or additional verification.

If JAMB provides an official support channel for your issue, use that channel rather than paying an agent who claims to have a private way to access the result.

What does “result withheld” mean?

A withheld result means JAMB has not made that result available to the candidate in the normal way. The reason and next steps depend on JAMB’s investigation or administrative process.

If your result is withheld, follow the official instructions JAMB provides. Do not rely on social media claims that someone can release the result for a fee.

Can a JAMB result be changed?

Be careful with anyone who promises to upgrade or change a JAMB score. Legitimate result corrections or reviews are handled through official JAMB procedures. A person claiming to have a private method for changing a result is not an official shortcut.

How to use your JAMB result for admission

After receiving your result, compare your score with the requirements of your chosen course and institution. A strong score can improve your position, but admission still depends on the applicable requirements and admission process.

Check your programme’s UTME subject combination and O’level requirements through JAMB’s IBASS system. If you are considering a competitive course, do not rely on the national minimum benchmark alone.

Our JAMB cut-off mark 2027 guide explains why the national benchmark is not the same as an automatic admission score.

What to do after checking your result

Keep a record of your UTME result.
Check your programme and institution requirements.
Monitor JAMB CAPS for admission updates.
Watch your institution’s official admission portal.
Do not give your login or security details to unofficial agents.
Follow official instructions for any correction or review process.

JAMB result and CAPS are different

Your UTME result tells you how you performed in the examination. JAMB CAPS is used for the admission process and admission status. Seeing your result does not mean that an admission offer has already been made.

If you receive an admission offer through CAPS, read the admission details carefully and follow JAMB’s instructions before accepting or rejecting it.
